Meeting the fam.

Patrick walked up the stairs, hearing his father on the phone with the pizza place. He could still smell the burnt...whatever it was that he was attempting to make. He had already shown Alli the living room and his father's office.

"Sorry for not showing you the kitchen," he told her. "But Dad probably made it so it would resemble a warzone"

He reached the landing.

"Now, which room do you want to see first?" he asked.

Alliana followed up the stairs after Patrick, keeping her fingers loosely entwined with his own. Behind her, she could hear the voice of his father echoing up, ordering the pizza. Sometimes, she forgot about the difference in their blood-types, but times like these made her remember again. Not that it would ever bother her, of course. She loved her boyfriend for just who he was.

Bringing herself back to reality, she listened to what Pat was saying. Chuckling, she gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "It's ok. Maybe we'll just have to help him clean it later." She teased lightly, clearly not minding.

She stopped beside him, glancing around and nibbling on her lower lip at his question. Then she shrugged. "Maybe we should tell your sister about the pizza?" She said with a chuckle, unsure of where to go exactly.

Patrick smiled at his girlfriend.

"We probably will," he nodded, wrapping his arms around Alli's waste and kissing her lightly on the lips.

"Oh, that'll be easy," Patrick smirked. He went to the nearest wall and rapped twice on it. "Oi Pam! Pizza for dinner tonight!"

"Thanks!" Pam called back.

"Thin walls," he told Alli, walking back to her. "Guess there is only one room left for you to see."

Alliana smiled back at her boyfriend, leaning into his touch when he wrapped his arms around her waist. Placing her hands face up on his chest she kissed him back, enjoying the feeling of his lips lingering lightly against hers. "Fine by me." She replied once they pulled back.

Her hands dropped back to her sides when he stepped away, and her brow arched at his words until she watched what he was doing. Noticing his intentions though, she giggled, especially when it worked. She wished things worked like that in her house! Too much space for that behavior, though.

"Well, that always works..." She mused with a laugh. She nodded with a small smirk though when he mentioned there being only one more room for her to see. "I guess so, Bear." She mused, taking his hand again and waiting for him to lead the way. Although there was only one other way down the hallway.

Patrick took Alli's hand and led her down the hall a little ways to a door, which held a sticker that said:

CAUTION
PATRICK'S ROOM!

"I keep meaning to take that off," he told Alli as he opened his door. The room was smallish, but it wasn't as messy as it usually was. At least his posters of muggle athletes weren't falling off the walls.

"Hey Two-Bit," Patrick chuckled as his kitten hopped on his bed.

"So what do you think?" he asked Alli as he sat next to his kitten.

Alliana quietly followed Pat down the hallway, well-aware now of the 'thin walls' he'd referred to before. Not that she was nervous about making too much noise or anything, of course. It was just a bit hard to get used to and she was being cautious, that was all.

She grinned slightly at the sign on his door, glancing toward him at his explanation. "Thanks for the warning." She teased, wondering what she had to be 'cautious' about. Stepping inside she took in her surroundings, standing toward the middle of the room as Pat went to sit on his bed beside his kitten.

Hands on her hips, the posters caught her attention the most.. because she had no idea who they were of. At his question though she looked back to him, another smile in place. "It's nice! I like it." She said cheerfully, but then wandered forward to touch one of the posters lightly. "But.. who are these people?" She said sheepishly, chuckling at herself.

Patrick chuckled as she thanked him for the warning. He grinned widely as she said that she loved his room.

"Mainly David Beckham," he said as Alli asked who the people in the posters were. "But one is of Sir Paul McCartney. Don't know why he's up there when I wanted to do only athletes."

Alliana felt herself frowning in thought when he told her who the men on his walls were, and after a moment she nodded slowly. She'd heard of their names before, one was an athlete and another was a singer, if she was remembering correctly.

"Oh.. well that's cool then." She said finally, turning and wandering back over to where Pat was. She took a sly glance over her shoulder before biting her lip, and with an innocent grin she took a seat facing him, straddling his lap.

"I missed you." She said simply, wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a gentle kiss. She wasn't trying to initiate anything of course, she had respect. She really just wanted to be as close as possible to him, just for a few moments.

Patrick raised his eyebrows as Alli began to straddle his lap.

"I missed you too," he said with a smile, kissing her back.

"We can't start anything," he said, lowering his voice. "Remember: thin walls."

Alliana chuckled at the look he gave her, but grinned at his words. It was always nice to hear them said back. Although she rolled her eyes playfully at his next comment, poking him in the cheek.

"I wasn't trying to start anything." She whispered back, her lower lip jutting out in a pout. "I just wanted to be close to my boyfriend.. brat." She added, sticking her tongue out at him childishly.

She gave him another lingering kiss before she climbed off of his lap and sat beside him again, proving her point.

"I love being close to you as well," Patrick said. Leaning over, he whispered into her ear. "Your pout is cute."

Kissing her gently on the lips, he wrapped an arm around Alli and smiled.

"PAT! PAM! ALLI! PIZZA'S HERE!"

Pat shook his head.

"That's faster than it usually is," he noted. He got up and held out his hand.

"Shall we?"

Alliana grinned happily at his words, leaning toward him slightly. "I would hope so." She said with a small laugh, biting her lip as he whispered in her ear. She could feel her cheeks growing warm, but luckily she was distracted from her pleasant embarrassment when he kissed her on the lips.

She snuggled into his embrace as she returned the kiss, although she jumped slightly when her name was called, along with Pat's and Pam's. She laughed at her own jumpiness, leaning away from Pat again.

"Better then taking forever though, right?" She reasoned, standing up as well and taking his hand. She smiled confidently at him, surprisingly not at all nervous with the dinner looming ahead of her.

"We shall." She replied with a nod.

Walking out of the room with Alli, Pat stopped for a moment to remind his sister of dinner.

"Oi Pam! Pizza's here," he said after knocking on the wall.

"Alright!" Pam called back.

Patrick chuckled and walked downstairs. There he saw his father setting up shop in the family room.

"Need help Dad?" he asked.

"Just keep the kittens out of the pizza," his father replied. "Other than that, take any seat you'd like."

Patrick smiled at Alli, noticed that his father had left the room, and pulled her on to his lap as he sat on the sofa.

"I think I'll take this seat," he said, giving her a small kiss.

Alliana followed after Pat, stopping when he did and waiting with a chuckle as he once again did the previous actions in order to remind Pam of the pizza. "That sure does come in handy, huh.." She mused as they began the trek down the stairs again.

She paused, letting her hand fall from Pat's when he began talking to his father. She was willing to help as well if it were needed, but it appeared as if it wasn't. Seeing Pat smile at her she returned the gesture, but giggled girlishly in surprise when he pulled her down onto his lap.

"Pat!" She gasped quietly in surprise, her palms landing on his chest to steady herself. She laughed and returned the small kiss before answering. "While I do love my seat.. I don't think it's proper for me to stay here all night." She said with a wink.

She gave him another kiss, playfully nipping at his lower lip before she slid off of his lap to sit beside him, one of her hands resting on his knee. She didn't want his father to catch them sitting like that! Talk about awkward..

Patrick smiled as Alli giggled when she was pulled into his lap.

"Aww!" he pouted. "You're probably right though."

Not to mention it would make things a million times more awkward with his father. He was brought out of his musing by his sister arriving into the room. He couldn't believe how much she'd changed in only five months.

"Hey Alli," Pam said as she sat down in the recliner.

"Dad, you aren't writing a novel in there are you?" Patrick called into the kitchen. It'd been a while.

"Just getting some drinks," his father replied as he walked back into the room.

Alliana wanted to kiss him even more when he pouted but refrained from doing so, although just barely. He just looked so cute when he did it, but instead she settled on a nod of agreement to his words. She glanced up and away from Pat when his sister walked into the room.

She noticed the growing stomach but to her credit, barely even glanced at it as she smiled toward Pam. "Hey, Pam." She replied back easily, although she was surprised at what she was seeing, she kept it hidden. She didn't remember Pat saying anything about that..

Her attention then skipped toward Mr. Wood when he re-entered the room, and she sat up a bit straighter almost immediately. Her first instinct was to jump up and help him but she thought better of it. Nothing more annoying then a pushy guest.

He leaned over and whispered, "I'll explain later," to Alli. He didn't want to talk about it right now in front of Pam.

Patrick watched as his dad sat down in the comfy chair that he had claimed the moment they bought it.

"Alli, what do you want to drink?" he asked. "We've got soda, water and fruit juice."

He had already gotten up to hand his sister a bottle of water and a slice of cheese pizza. The best part about her pregnancy was no odd cravings and no morning sickness.

"Dad, what do you want?" he asked.

"The mushroom half, if you don't mind Patrick," his father said with a smile. Patrick handed him his half and then turned to his girlfriend.

"Sorry, I forgot to ask what you wanted," he said with a sheepish smile.

Alliana glanced side-ways toward Pat when he whispered in her ear. Figuring he was talking about Pam, all she did was nod to show that she understood. She was wondering of course, but it wasn't really any of her business, either. Turning her gaze back to the action in front of her, she considered the choices for drinks for a moment. "A water would be fine, please? Thank you!" She said, grasping the bottle once it was handed to her.

When Pat turned to her with a sheepish smile, she merely grinned back, waving off the apology. "It's okay." She said, because she'd rather him serve his family first, after all. "Cheese is fine." She added, settling back into her seat with a thankful smile.

Patrick was glad that Alli understood why he didn't want to talk about it there.

"Here you go," he said with a smile, handing her a slice of cheese. For himself, he also took a slice of cheese and a can of soda. He never understood why they ordered the half with mushrooms when only his father ate them.

"Is this a different place Dad?" Pam asked.

"Nope, same place as always," his father replied.

Patrick had to admit, no matter how much he loved the cooking of the Hogwarts House elves there was nothing that beat pizza and soda.

Alli smiled when Pat handed her the slice of cheese she'd requested. "Thanks." She said cheerfully, nearly slipping with a pet name but so glad she'd managed to bite it back. That would have been embarrassing for the both of them, that was for sure. She wouldn't have been able to look at either Pam or his father for the rest of the night, probably.

She began to eat her slice as they talked among themselves. Waiting until they finished though she swallowed the bite in her mouth. "This pizza is really great." She said with a chuckle. And she meant it, too. She never usually had pizza that much and so when she did, it was always a treat.

She didn't know where the conversation was going though so she went quiet again, eating her pizza. She wanted to make a good impression and perhaps being quiet wasn't the best way to do that, but she was doing her best.

Patrick smiled at his girlfriend as she thanked him for the pizza. Privately, he was thankful she hadn't called him by her pet name for him. His sister would have taken the mickey out of him if she had.

"Just a little pizza joint around the corner," Pat shrugged when Alli said that the pizza was great. He noticed that she was being somewhat quiet and subtly shot her a smile.

His father asked the same questions that Alli's parents had asked him when Patrick met them, while Pam mainly ate her pizza. The kittens were milling around, trying to steal a slice.

"Dad, were they fed?" Pat asked. His father thought for a minute and shrugged.

"I'll go check," Pam said but Pat shook his head.

"I'll go," he said. "It's my night to feed them anyway."

He got up and noticed that their food bowls were empty. Shaking his head a little, he poured dry cat food into both of them.

"Bon Appetite, Two-Bit and Soda!" he called as he walked back into the family room with the bowls. The kittens milled around him and meowed thankfully as he set them down. He sat back next to Alli.

Alliana nodded when he told her where they'd gotten the pizza from, taking a sip of her water afterwards. "That's cool." She replied. She noticed his subtle smile and thankfully returned it. It seemed that small gesture was just what she needed to encourage her to talk a little more, and by the time Pat's father began asking questions she happily answered them to the best of her abilities.

She wasn't acting as quiet anymore and for that she was thankful. She did notice that Pam didn't really put much input into the conversation, but she didn't comment on it. Part of her wanted to include her fellow Gryffindor into the conversation but another part of her figured it were best to just leave her be. If she wanted to talk, then she would. Simple as that, really.

She glanced down toward the two kittens as they tried to snag a slice of pizza, chuckling in spite of herself. Taking another sip of her drink as Pat went to go get the kittens some food, she smiled when he sat down beside her again. "You're their best friends now." She laughed lightly, leaning back into the couch a bit.

At least everything was going pretty good now. Sigh of relief.

"Just call me the kitten whisperer," Patrick said with a chuckle. He nibbled at his pizza some more.

"So Alli," Pam said for the first time since she entered the room, "do you know what you want to do after Hogwarts?"

Pat shot a small smile at his sister. She'd been quieter than normal, which alarmed him a bit. Pam was more outgoing than he was by a long shot.

Alliana chuckled and rolled her eyes playfully at her boyfriend's words, but she was smiling the entire time. She had something she wanted to say but she figured she'd just tell him later.

Hearing her name, she looked up in surprise but quickly covered it when she noticed it was Pam talking to her. "Yeah?" She asked, interested in what the girl had to say. Finishing her slice of pizza she listened to the question, taking a sip of her water before she answered.

Nodding, she spoke. "Either be a Healer, or maybe a Mediwitch." She replied with a small smile. She knew she'd have to work hard for either of those, but she was willing to do what it took. Being her last year at Hogwarts, she was glad she'd finally decided what she wanted to do.

"How about you guys? Any idea?" She offered to both Pat and Pam, looking between them in hopes of keeping the conversation going for at least a little while longer.

"I either want to be a History teacher or a magizoologist," Patrick said. "Leaning more on the lines of History teacher at the moment."

"I don't really know what I want to do," Pam admitted. "I had wanted to be an Auror but realized I...didn't have the grades for it," she finished lamely.

Patrick noticed his father look interested in all of the career choices.

"Is there a magical equivalent of an accountant?" his father asked while Pam and Patrick rolled their eyes softly.
