Patrick walked into the room of requirement, glad for once that he wasn't by the lake. There was only so many times that one could stay by the water. Two-Bit ran in before him.

"OI!" Pat chuckled as Two-Bit grabbed at his shoe-lace. Picking up the kitten, Pat wished for a ball of yarn. As it dropped to the floor, Two-Bit jumped out of Pat's arms and chased after it.

He sat down on a couch, watching Two-Bit chase after the ball of yarn, and shook his head. His kitten would never get old.

Alliana didn't mind being back at school, especially because it was her last year. A big part of her knew she'd miss the huge castle but another part of her was immensely excited for her future. She'd made plans to meet Pat in the Room of Requirement, a setting slightly different then where they usually met but she didn't mind.

While the lake would always be almost like 'their place,' it was a nice change of scenery. Making her way up to the seventh floor she bit her lip, concentrating on what it was that she was looking for and grinning in satisfaction when the door became visible to her, slightly down the hallway.

Heading toward the door she reached out and let herself in, grinning when she saw Pat and Two-Bit were already there. She'd never had a pet of her own, but the kitten was a cutie. "Hey Bear, Two-Bit!" She greeted the two cheerfully, bending over to give Pat a kiss on the lips before she took a seat beside him on the couch.

Pat looked up as he heard the door open and smiled when he saw that it was Alli.

"Hey Kitten," he greeted her and kissed her back. He loved being able to meet her without the risk of his father walking in on them or his sister gagging at the sight of them. Of course, she'd been gagging a lot lately.

Two-Bit meowed when Alli greeted him but then went back to playing with his yarn.

"What's new?" he asked.

Alliana hoped that this meeting would be a little well.. better then their last one. She'd enjoyed meeting his family of course, but she wasn't too sure she'd ever be able to look either Pamala or their father in the eyes ever again. Not to mention the fight she'd had with Pat. The thought made her shiver in distaste. But that had been then, and this was now, and she hoped nothing else would come up to make them fight again. Although it was bound to happen eventually, she refused to think about it.

She smiled briefly toward Two-Bit when she received a meow, but the kitten was much more interested in his ball of yarn. At the question, she nibbled on her lower lip slightly before shrugging. The only new thing she could possibly think of was the fact that her old friend Ariadne Holiday was back, but it wasn't that big of a deal. No, not really. What would be a big deal was if her twin brother, Buddy Holiday (also known as Edward) were to be back as well. She hadn't heard any news of that yet though, and so she just smiled. Although she didn't know why one twin would come without the other one.

"Not much. Just saw an old friend that I haven't seen in a year or so. How about you?" She returned the question, shifting her body so that she was facing him.

Patrick smiled when he saw Alli nibble on her lip. It was a cute habit of hers, and it always made him want to kiss her.

He didn't want to tell Alli that the father of his sister's babies had basically baled on her, he felt that was a family matter. But then, he realized that Alli wouldn't tell anyone.

"You know how Pam's pregnant?" he asked. "Well, right before we came back, Pam got an owl. Apparently, the father of her twins is staying in France for an undetermined period of time."

Alliana looked up into Pat's eyes when he questioned her, and her head tilted to the side ever so slightly in curiosity, but she nodded. "Yeah.." She began, but quieted down when he started talking again.

Hearing the delimma a frown appeared on her lips and her expression became disapproving - toward the disappearing father, not Pamala. "What? That's awful." She said with a small shake of her head. How could someone just bail on their unborn children like that? She knew that a lot of men were jerks like that these days, but she honestly couldn't fathom how anyone would be able to live with themselves after that.

And Pamala wasn't having one baby, but two? Seemed as if the gene of twins was being passed down. "I hate men that act like that. It takes two to make a baby, how selfish of him." She was angry but she sighed, looking at Pat with a look of apology. "Poor Pam."

Patrick hoped that the disapproving look on his girlfriend's face was for the dirtbag his sister had had a relationship with, not his sister.

"Yeah," he nodded when Alli said that it was awful that Pam would be alone during the pregnancy. "It is awful, but she doesn't seem to want to talk about it at all. When she got the letter, she didn't really react. Just stuffed it in her bag and moved on."

He smiled at her as she gave him an apologetic look. "Can we keep this between us? Pam doesn't really want to talk about it yet."

Alliana shifted on her seat, her expression still thoughtful as she listened to Pat speak. She couldn't imagine what it must have been like, having feelings for someone and depending on them so much (especially with children!) and then they let you down. Pull the rug out right from under you and leave you all alone. Pam must have been a damn strong woman to deal with something like that, Alliana realized. It still didn't make the situation any better though, not at all. Hearing that Pam didn't even react, Alli just nodded her head. She wasn't really sure what to say.

Smiling lightly back, she nodded immediately when he requested the information stay between them. "Oh, of course. It wasn't going to leave my mouth anyhow." She stated with a shrug. It was Pam's business and Alli wouldn't dare invade it by telling anyone else, that just wasn't who she was. Reaching out, she laced her fingers through Pat's and gave his hand a gentle squeeze.

"Life sucks sometimes, but I'm sure things will work out somehow.." She said, trying to remain optimistic.

Pat relaxed when Alli said that the information wasn't going to leave her mouth. He trusted her enough that she didn't have to say that, but it made him feel better none the less.

"Well, she's got four more months to figure it out," he mused as Alli tried to remain optimistic. "She's stubborn, I'll give her that."

He sighed but wanted to change the subject. Badly. He hated that there was nothing he could do for his little sister--even though she'd probably kill him for calling her that.

"How were the rest of your holidays?" he asked and then inwardly winced. The thought of the holidays brought back memories of their fight. That was something he really didn't want to remember.

Alliana could see Pat visibly relaxing and she offered him another gentle smile. She figured he trusted her not to say anything but she didn't blame him for making sure. It certainly didn't offend her any.

Nodding absently, she remembered the last time she'd seen Pamala. For only five months along she was showing a lot, but now she knew she was having twins, so it made sense. Not just one little child, two.. Alli was unsure how she'd feel with that in mind. Although the genes of having twins for her certainly was possible. Not something she was going to think about though, she had absolutely no reason to. "I'm sure she will.. she seems like a strong woman." She assured him. And she did, for what little Alliana knew about her.

Hearing Pat's sigh, she gave his hand another squeeze. She could tell he wanted to change the subject and so she would. Anything to make him feel better, of course. She exhaled when he mentioned the holidays, the details of their fight flashing through her memory but on the outside she smiled. "They were pretty good. How about yours?"

Shifting closer to Pat she wrapped her arms around him from the side and placed her head on his chest, a familiar position for the two. One that always made her feel content and relaxed.

"They were alright," Pat said. "A little awkward near the beginning though, when Pam told Dad the big news."

He smiled as Alli wrapped her arms around his side. He put his arm over her shoulders and kissed the top of her head, which was lying on his chest. He loved this position, it was so familiar.

Alliana nodded absently, but she was listening to what Pat was saying. She always did, even if at times it appeared like she wasn't. "Understandable.." She mused. Awkwardness was never one of her favorite emotions and she was sure almost anyone would agree with her.

She felt herself smiling automatically when Pat's arm wrapped around her shoulder, even more so when he kissed the top of her forehead. It was the small things like that that made her happy. He was such a sweet and amazing guy, even after all the time that they'd been together he never failed in making her smile.

Tucking her feet up and under her bottom she allowed herself to rest against him, comfortable in the small silence. "Hey, Pat?" She murmured after a while, before continuing without waiting for an answer. "I love you. Felt like I hadn't told you in a while." She was sure the smirk was evident in her voice. She was so cheesy sometimes, but he never did seem to mind.

Pat looked down when he heard his name.

"Yeah?" he asked and then smiled when Alli told him that she loved him. "I love you too. You're right, it has been a while since we've told each other that."

He could almost hear Alli smirking but he didn't mind. She wouldn't be Alli if she didn't.

Alliana continued to smile and sighed softly when he returned the words. She knew that he would, but sometimes she got fearful that maybe he'd decide he didn't care about her as much as he thought he did. She knew that the fear was silly after all the time they'd been with one another, but it still did haunt her at one time or another. That was why she always did her best to remind Pat of exactly how she was feeling even if the time was the most random one ever, because he deserved to hear it. He was nothing but amazing to her.

She leaned up to kiss him gently, her fingers lightly grasping the fabric of his shirt as she did so. Things had been pretty back to normal with them now after the fight, and she honestly couldn't have been more happier. She knew she'd messed up but she was just glad he'd been able to forgive her.

Fights like that were something she could live the rest of her life without dealing with.

Smiling against Alli's lips, Pat kissed her back just as gently as she kissed him. He was glad that things had gotten back to normal for them after their fight during the holidays. Thank Merlin she'd been able to forgive him for acting like a Grade-A prat to her.

Suddenly, something furry appeared on his lap causing him to break apart from Alli.

"Two-Bit," he chuckled. He could never be mad at his kitten. Two-Bit was the reason he'd worked up the nerve to ask Alli out on a date to begin with.

Alliana leaned back after a few moments, and it was probably a good thing that she did because suddenly, Two-Bit appeared and she had to sit back, her arms dropping away from Pat.

She wasn't angry with the little ball of fur, if anything she just found his antics amusing. "I guess his ball of yarn is no longer entertaining enough." She mused with a smirk, sitting back against the couch cushions lightly. She reached out and gave the kitten a couple of pats on the head before her hand was placed back in her lap.

The kitten was always around but she'd taken a big liking to him, seeing as she'd never had her own pets. It was almost strange to see Two-Bit absent when Pat was around, actually. If that were the case, she'd usually think something was wrong.

"I guess so," Pat nodded as he scratched Two-Bit's ears with his free hand. Two-Bit had crawled up on his stomach, and was purring away.

Thinking back, Pat couldn't think of a time when Two-Bit wasn't by his side. Maybe when Pam was watching him or when he was class but other than that...Two-Bit was a constant shadow.

Alliana chuckled as she observed the sight in front of her. It was cute, really, the bond the two shared. "Looks like I've been replaced." She said this with a fake pout but smirked a moment after. It was clear she didn't mind, why would she?

Letting her legs stretch out again she let them dangle over the edge of the couch once more until her feet met the floor. She glanced around the Room of Requirement curiously, realizing she hadn't bothered seeing what it had thought up for them besides the obvious couch.

She'd been much more distracted by her waiting boyfriend. She smirked to herself at the thought.

Pat smirked but got up for two reasons. One, he was beginning to lose feeling in his spine and two....well, he just wanted to.

"No one could replace you," he said, kissing her softly on the lips. Two-Bit, after meowing loudly about having to get up, went back to his ball of yarn.

The room hadn't really thought up much for them--besides the couch. But Pat wouldn't have it any other way.

Alliana watched as Pat rose from the couch, but she stayed where she was for a couple of seconds longer. After all, the cushions were comfy and she didn't feel the need to get up just yet. It was sad to think that they'd have to go their separate ways soon, seeing as other duties called. She wished that they could just both ignore them all day just to stay together, but that wasn't possible. Maybe soon when school finished, but right now.. nope.

She blushed gently and kissed him back happily. "Good to know.. same to you, handsome." She teased lightly, giving him another kiss before leaning back. She glanced toward Two-Bit with a playful look of sympathy.

"I don't really want to leave.." She sighed, taking another glance around the room. They'd only been with one another for not even an hour yet, it was hardly fair. But she would admit that an hour was better then no time at all.

As he listened to Alli say that she didn't want to leave, music seemed to come from thin air.

"Seems the room agrees with you," Pat said. He didn't want to leave either--though it was great that it was their last year. At least once they graduated, they could stay together for as long as they wanted.

"Shall we?" he said, holding his hand out to dance. "Why waste good music?"

Alliana glanced upward almost out of instinct when music began to play, and she giggled slightly before being able to help it. "I'm glad it does." She replied with a small smile.

She was slightly surprised when Pat suggested that they dance, but she was soon smiling again as she reached up to place her smaller hand in his. Standing, she nodded in agreement. "Hope you don't step on my feet." She winked playfully. She knew he wouldn't.. or at least figured.

Placing her hands around his neck she began to sway to the music, keeping silent only for a couple of moments. "What other styles of dance do you know how to do besides this?" She ventured curiously.

Pat rolled his eyes gently at Alli when she said that she hoped that he wouldn't step on her feet.

"The odds of that happening is slim," he promised but felt himself looking down on occasion after that. He didn't want to step on her OR Two-Bit.

"This is really it," he said. "I'm not the greatest dancer. I'm more of a sports guy. Ground sports of course."

Alliana was slightly amused when after her comment, while he'd promised that the chances were slim, he kept double-checking himself after that. He probably was keeping watch out for Two-Bit though, and so she decided to do the same every now and then. She wouldn't want to hurt the poor kitten because of her carelessness.

She shrugged lightly when he said that this was really the only style of dance he knew. It didn't bother her of course, but it was good to know. "I know a little of other styles, but not much." She admitted with a chuckle, but smiled knowingly. "You aren't a bad flyer now, though." She reasoned.

But she knew that still didn't mean he preferred to be up in the sky. It wasn't really her cup of tea, either.

Pat chuckled lightly when Alli said that he wasn't a bad flyer. "That's because I had my eyes mainly on you," he said with a smile. "Trust me, I prefer my legs on firm ground."

Though maybe it was time to give flying another go....gah, he was insane! Just enjoy the moment Pat.

Maybe it was his imagination, but he thought he heard a bell ring in the distance. He hoped that was his imagination--he didn't want this to end.
