Pat sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, and then proceeded to brush it out of his eyes. He wanted to finish the passage he'd been reading five times all ready. His mind was a million miles away, which was why he'd read the same passage five times.

He knew where his thoughts were but he didn't have to like it. He was thinking about how complicated his life had become, between the awkwardness with Alli, Pam only two months away from becoming a mother (okay, that part didn't really complicate his life). He still felt guilty about what he said to Alli during their fight but knew he couldn't change the past.

Then of course he had the debate with himself about whether he should give flying another go. Let's just say there was a reason he was in the library attempting to read instead of at the Quidditch pitch.

"Ah shove it!" he muttered and pushed the book aside. He pulled out his parchment and began to doodle.
